The Weekender in the Woods makes a perfect group accommodation. With 2,855 square feet, and several socializing spaces its the perfect place for a friends getaway, family reunion or general weekend getaway. Centered on 5 acres, we have plenty of room for parking cars and trailers. Kitchen - Fully remodeled kitchen with new appliances, new cookware, crockpot, griddle, glassware, toaster and coffee maker. Family Room - Outfitted with a couple couches, a 50" smart TV and a huge bay window that looks out into the front yard. Deer often travel through the front yard and this is a great spot to watch them. 3 Bedrooms Primary Bedroom- This bedroom has a barn door leading to a full bath. It also has a sliding glass door with access to the hot tub and back patio. Features a queen bed. 2nd Bedroom- Features a cedar closet and queen bed. 3rd Bedroom- Sleeps up to four people. Includes sturdy bunked queen beds. Best for kids but, strong enough for adults. Game Room - We converted the garage into a game room. Complete with Ping Pong, Air Hockey, Darts and arcade games. Bring your A-Game! Bathrooms - The main bathroom features a double vanity, full tub/shower. The 2nd bathroom is located in the Primary Bedroom and features a single vanity, full tub/shower. Brick Patio - It's outlined with string lights, features BBQ Grill, Hot Tub and of course a table with extra chairs. This is a tranquil spot to enjoy nature and the company of friends and family. It faces southwest and is ideal watching the sunset. Please feel free to explore the 5 acres. Notes: We have super fast internet, but cell phone service is spotty. I suggest that you connect to the internet and then use wifi calling on your phone. Our sunroom is not air conditioned. On summer days it can get warm in there. You are welcome to open windows and use the fans. (The rest of the house is air conditioned.) Our laundry area is in the basement and is not the newest or prettiest equipment, but it works well. We supply enough detergent to get you started. Please note that we only supply enough toilet paper, paper towels and soap to get started. You will likely need more during your stay. We do not supply firewood. No need to worry though... Most of the local gas stations and retails stores sell firewood. (We do supply some fire starters and kindling.) We are super excited about our newest improvement.... A Custom Smokeless Fire Pit with pergola and hanging chairs. Please note that this fire pit is NOT designed for water. If it rains on it... no big deal, but if you pour water on it while it's hot, you will stress the metal and likely ruin the welds. Sunroom Fire Place - This is the only functional interior fireplace. This fireplace is awesome and works super well! However, if you're not careful it can get too hot (above 450 degrees) for the surrounding glass. We have a temp gauge on the hood and ask that you use this fireplace with caution. TV Subscriptions: We have two smart TVs. One in the family room and in February we will have one in the game room as well. We do not provide any subscription services. Please bring your own subscription services. A reminder to log out will be provided in the check out instructions. Snow- In snow events exceeding 3” we have a plowing service that clears the main drive and parking areas. They do not shovel the front or back porches. Shovels and salt are provided for the front porch and back patio. These areas can be shoveled at your discretion. If you need help with these areas, please reach out to us. Note to Guests: We’re enhancing the natural beauty of our property by removing invasive bushes and trees and replacing them with native varieties, including newly planted and transplanted pines, maples and oaks. Our goal is to create an even more private and serene experience for our guests. You may notice an area where we’ve safely burned some of the invasive plants as part of this process, but rest assured, there’s still plenty of open space for yard games and outdoor enjoyment.
